"40 DAYS FOR LIFE" Coming to Bridgeport

Pro-life communities throughout Connecticut are uniting to bring "The 40 DAYS FOR LIFE" (40DFL) campaign to Bridgeport beginning  Wednesday, March 9 and ending on Sunday, April 17. These forty days of prayer will be held on the public sidewalk in front of The Summit Women's Center on 3787 Main Street. Bridgeport is just one of 247 cities involved from coast to coast trying to bring an end to the harm done to women and children from abortion.  Since 2004, one thousand eighty-five 40 DFL campaigns have been conducted in 337 cities across the United States. Abortion rates have been dramatically reduced in the participating communities.

40 Days For Life is a three-point program that focuses on:

1.) Prayer and fasting.

2.) Peaceful vigil at abortion facility.

3.) Grassroots educational community outreach.

38th ROE V WADE MEMORIAL SERVICE

 

It is difficult to imagine 55 million children that have been slaughtered since the infamous Roe V Wade decision became law on Jan. 22, 1973. This assailant took its physical form in this Supreme Court decision. We are being destroyed as a nation from an enemy within. A woman’s “right to privacy” allows her to kill her own child growing in her womb. This lie has become law and it is a lie that transcends every racial, ethnic, political and geographic boundary.

 

Operation Save America – Connecticut will call our blood-stained nation to repent of this national sin.  Roe V Wade not only violates God’s law, “Thou shall not murder” but also betrays our national covenant which states, “We shall hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Our most fundamental right is “the right to life”.   

 

Abortion reveals that the real battle for our nation is spiritual and therefore cannot be resolved politically. It is a battle between two world views – the seed of the serpent (my body, my rights, my choice) or the seed of the woman (“not my will but thy will be done”).

 

This lie that has wreaked devastation and is destroying America can only be overcome by truth. The Truth has but one name – Jesus Christ. “They overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink back from death.” Revelation 12:11

 

Local pastors, priests and statesmen will join OSA-CT and local Christians as we show our community that we want to end child-killing. We can do this by bringing the theology of the church out to the streets. In the past 21 years over 2,000 children have been spared locally because Christians cared enough to come out of their comfort zones and “plead the case of the fatherless”. This travesty is everybody’s calling. Abortion will only come to an end when the Church of Jesus Christ decides it’s willing to make it come to an end. We need to ask ourselves this question: “Can a nation that denies life and freedom to its most vulnerable citizen be worthy of life and freedom itself?”

New Haven abortion rights event draws 40 protesters: Awards dinner honors doctors, Roe v. Wade (video)

NEW HAVEN — A group of abortion providers and abortion rights advocates gathered at an awards dinner Thursday night to commemorate the anniversary of Roe v. Wade and honor doctors in the field.

 

But they shouldn’t have been in a celebratory mood, according to about 40 protesters outside.

 

“They’re getting awards for being in the baby-killing business. It’s evil and wicked and against God,” said Marilyn Carroll, a member of Operation Save America.

 

Various anti-abortion groups and individuals from across the state stood with signs and prayed outside the New Haven Lawn Club during the awards dinner, which was held by the Connecticut Coalition for Choice.

 

Protesters calmly approached pedestrians and cars in the club’s driveway, offering literature on abortion and Dr. LeRoy Carhart, a prominent doctor at an abortion clinic in Nebraska, who attended the award dinner.

 

Two police cars stopped at the scene on a report that protesters were blocking the driveway.

 

This was the first time protesters have been outside the annual dinner, as they hadn’t heard about the dinner in years past, Carroll said.

 

Groups, such as Operation Save America and Choose Life at Yale; residents from Waterbury, New Haven and Hartford; and members of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Norwalk stood in three areas around the Lawn Club.

 

Carhart was to receive the Carhart Award, given by the Connecticut Coalition for Choice for the first time.

 

Kate Lannamann, president of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice of Connecticut, said her organization wanted to create an award to honor a person in the medical field who is active in women’s reproductive health and guided by spiritual beliefs. The group chose to name the award after Carhart and honor him as the first recipient.

 

When asked to comment on the activists outside, Lannamann simply said she’s glad she lives in a free country where people have freedom of speech.

 

Susan Yolen, vice president of public affairs for Planned Parenthood, said the dinner is held annually for people who provide abortions and that about 20 providers attended Thursday night.

 

“They are a very unique and dedicated and courageous group of medical providers, and we thank them for their commitment,” Yolen said.

 

Outside, protesters holding signs of aborted fetuses said they weren’t there to insult those inside the Lawn Club, but to “pray for their conversion.”

 

“God can do a lot more than we can,” said Waterbury resident Kathy Upson, who attended the event with friends and said she’s not affiliated with any groups. “The babies are in heaven. It’s the people putting them there that need the prayers.”

 

Demonstrators were mostly quiet, talking among themselves and to pedestrians.

 

A passenger in one car yelled at the group and quoted the Bible, saying, “Judge not, and ye shall not be judged,” but another driver pulled over and spoke to one of the protesters because his girlfriend had gotten an abortion.

 

The Rev. Greg Markey of St. Mary’s Church in Norwalk said he hoped that those at the dinner realized “they’re not welcome.”

 

“And we want to let the country club know it should be ashamed for having this. Dr. Carhart is exploiting women and taking advantage of them when they’re alone and afraid,” Markey added.

 

Eduardo Andino, a member of Choose Life at Yale and a Yale University sophomore, said he hoped he could get people thinking about the issue of abortion.

 

“I decided to come out tonight to represent the pro-life side and try to reach some hearts,” he said. “It’s an issue about which people don’t want to dialogue. If more people spoke up about it, they may give it some honest thought.”

MOSQUE PRESS STATEMENT 8/13/10

 

The article written by Daniel Tepfer in last Saturday’s CT Post newspaper about our gospel outreach here last Friday was not true. The reporter wasn’t here until the very end of the event and he never even interviewed us. He didn’t say where he got his quotes from. Nobody in our group said “Jesus hates Muslims” or shoved placards at children and shouted “Murderers”. This one article has caused many negative TV News reports and an uproar in our state all based on misinformation. We are here to clarify who we are and what we do.

 

Operation Save America – CT is a gospel ministry. Last Friday between 12:30 PM and 2:15 PM we gave out hundreds of pieces of literature, CD’s, DVD’s and the book of Romans in English and Arabic. About two-thirds of the people took the information. Some neighbors said they were glad we were here. Two men were street preaching and others were having one on one conversation. Some of the men shook hands and hugged each other after a dialogue. It was not a hateful event. Police are always notified wherever we go and they were present to direct traffic and make sure everyone was safe.

 

We have been ministering out on the streets in Bridgeport for over 20 years (with no arrests). We are here because God has commanded us to preach the Gospel to every creature. It is our Christian duty to love all people including Muslims. We are witnesses for the truth in the Word of God (The Holy Bible). It is God’s will that no one perishes but receives eternal life. Jesus spoke more about Hell than Heaven because He didn’t want anyone to go there. He cared so much for us sinners that He hung naked on a cross and shed His blood. Those who repent and turn from their wicked ways can be saved.

 

We preach the word of God through conversations, literature and signs. We know our rights of free speech, literature distribution and freedom to assemble. We have ministered outside of every high school many times in this city. Because of our ministry at the Summit Women’s Center over 2,000 babies have been spared from death by abortion. We have helped hundreds, maybe thousands, of young women and children with their needs. 400 souls have been spared from eternity in Hell through the saving power of Jesus Christ. We are simply Christian missionaries who want to reconcile the world to Him.

Caveat: Leaders from across the nation joined together this past weekend, February 4-7, 2010, to allow the theology of the church house to become biography in the streets of Charlotte and surrounding areas. It was an incredible blessing to have all these saints gathered in the Name of Jesus to make a difference in our city. When you read about where we went and what God did, you will surely be ready to join us at our National Event July 17-24, 2010. Enjoy!

Charlotte Turned Upside Down – No, Right Side Up

“And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also; Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.” Acts 17:6, 7.

In many ways, our gathering in NC for the Operation Rescue/Operation Save America leadership meeting was the most memorable. In fact, I dare say that it made OR/OSA history. It seemed that the Lord provided opportunity to fulfill the entire book of Jeremiah in four eventful days as the saints went to the diverse gates of Charlotte and surrounding cities in NC.

Day One

The Wall

“And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.” Revelation 12:15, 16.

Upon our arrival into NC, we were greeted with a devastating call from David Benham, Flip’s son. The plaza they built, to house their company and other businesses, was on the verge of collapse. Due to rain and other structural issues, the wall supporting the structure tumbled down, compromising the entire building. Mere minutes before it fell, Flip, David, Jason, and a couple of other men were under the wall examining its breach. God in His mercy spared their lives.

Needless to say, the Benham family was reeling. David, who rarely cries, was found weeping. The OSA saints gathered around the family to provide a spiritual and moral wall to support them in their hour of need. As time progressed and the damage assessed, the Lord through His people began to answer prayers and provide words of comfort and encouragement. Pastor Bill Dunfee, from Ohio, who endured a challenging trip to North Carolina to the point of almost turning back, prayed and declared, “It is finished” to David's concern and anxiety.

In God’s providence, Flip preached a message in Revelation chapter twelve. The only Scripture in that chapter he did not expound upon was Revelation 12:15-16. After we prayed for this dire situation these passages came alive. It was raining cats and dogs and the more it rained, the more likely the building would have been “carried away of the flood.” But God’s Word stated that the earth would help. Sure enough, as the engineers, construction workers, and inspectors were desperately trying to save the building, they found to their utter amazement that the earth directly under the building was not of the same quality of earth that compromised the wall. It was more compact, sturdy, and provided the necessary foundation to support the building.

During one of the many prayers to God to spare the building, Ante Pavkovic received this Word. “In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the Lord that doeth this (Amos 9:11, 12).”

Another word came forth that declared, “You have asked why and searched your hearts with tears, fear, and trembling. The question is not why for the answer is wide. Your foundation was not wide enough to sustain the growth and height, I have planned for you. It is the width that determines the height of the future and hope I have purposed for your lives, ministry, and business.” Praise God for being “a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1.

Day Two

The High Schools

Day two began early. Facing rain, wind, and cold, the saints began a day that made history in OR/OSA. We went to more gates and ministered in more venues on this day, than any other in the last 20 years.

Before the sun arose, we stationed ourselves at North Cabarrus High School. We set up with signs that revealed the stark contrast between life and death, blessing and cursing. Through the signs, we demonstrated that the wages of sin is death (abortion), but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23). The dead babies represented what our nation looks like when we violate God’s commandments. The live baby represents God’s blessing when we honor His commandments.

Though the weather was severe, we passed out hundreds of Christian/pro-life packets to the students.

We packed up and proceeded to go to another high school. By this time, the sun was coming up and we could actually see though the weather remained difficult. We once again set up and had a greater opportunity to engage the students who were receptive to the outreach. We passed out much more literature and actually had the added blessing to preach to the students, some of whom identified themselves as anarchists. They gladly took the materials and listened intently as God’s Word went forth in power and conviction.

The Hospital

From there, we packed up and went to downtown Charlotte and exposed the unfruitful works of darkness at the Presbyterian Hospital. This is a huge complex and, unbeknownst to many, this hospital employs two doctors who moonlight as abortionists. Last year, Flip confronted them and pleaded with them to stop killing babies. They promised they would stop and thus were not uncovered to the general public.

Unfortunately, they just stopped killing at one abortion mill and began applying their grisly trade at another. The saints, armed with flyers calling these “doctors” to repentance and to Christ, went to each floor of a ten story building and posted these flyers in the bathrooms, elevators, corridors, and offices. They went to each office to reveal the horrible truth about what these men were doing to our children.

Flip and I, however, went directly to the abortionist’s office. Of course, the “doctors” refused to meet with us. Flip challenged the receptionist and reminded her of the promise these doctors made a year ago. While he was rebuking them for reneging on their word and lying, we passed out the flyers to a room full of patients and preached. They were all informed that these doctors not only used their skills to birth babies, they kill them as well. Obviously, these things ought not to be. We went on to reveal to them that the root of abortion is racism. Both abortionists are black. They will probably remember this “doctor’s” visit for a long time to come.

The Mosque

The next gate we visited was the largest Mosque in Charlotte. In the freezing rain, we passed out over three hundred Gospel packets, which included the Gospel of John and Romans in Arabic and English, plus the Jesus film in Arabic. Ninety five percent of the Muslims received the materials with smiles on their faces. One Muslim refused the materials. Pastor Bill Shanks from New Orleans informed this individual, “There will be no virgins for you.” Only Pastor Bill can get away with something like this.

Our thanks go out to a very special Lebanese minister of the Gospel of Christ, who gave his heart to Christ at eleven years old, and has now devoted his life to winning Muslims to Christ. This pastor (name omitted) gave us a powerful sermon about how the Gospel of Christ can penetrate the Muslim heart and how God can use us to bring this good news to them. We hope to have him at our National Event, July 17-24, this summer!

Morning Star Ministries

This next gate was a difficult one for us. It was the gate of the Lord’s House. Our final excursion in Kingdom excellence that day brought us to Morning Star Ministries, led by pastor Rick Joyner. Supposedly, he was in charge of restoring a colorful man by the name of Todd Bentley. Mr. Bentley was a prominent figure in the “Lakeland Revivals.” Apparently, while enjoying much success in Lakeland, he fell into adultery, divorced his wife, left his three children, and married a new improved wife within a couple of months. Morning Star believes it was “premature,” but when a man as powerful as Mr. Bentley is concerned, why sweat the details.

When we all entered the building, the band was playing. They had interesting songs that stated, “Lose your heart, lose your head, and feel it now.” At minimum this song was infantile, and at worst - demonic. In the presence of approximately one thousand seekers of miracles, dreams, visions, angels, and supernatural manifestations, men of God with open Bibles stationed themselves to publicly confront Mr. Bentley with the love of God that is according to truth.

Unbeknownst to us, the Oprah Winfrey show had a film crew to record Todd Bentley's “restoration.” Plus, another film crew was working on a documentary chronicling the “Lakeland Revival” all the way to Mr. Bentley's reemergence with Morning Star. We also did not know that this particular service was being streamed to one hundred and forty nations.

With fear and trepidation, seven of us had a Scripture to call Todd Bentley and Morning Star Ministries to repentance. We became a public rebuke to a ministry that has trashed the marriage covenant God gave for the blessing of mankind and to raise Godly offspring. We came because the lambs of God are being led astray by false prophets who believe that one can discard his wife and children and find another wife and continue on in the ministry. Todd Bentley has become a poster child for the devil’s schemes and lies. Because God loves him and desires Todd to return to the truth of the Scripture, we were sent.

We came to remind this church that all Christians should love the presence of God and the miracles of God; we should also love the truth of God. Mr. Bentley took to the stage and as he went to open the Bible, Rev. Flip cried out and called Mr. Bentley to repentance and the acknowledgment of the truth. One by one, the Scriptures rang out. Verses like Hebrews 13:4, which states, “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.”

“And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err. I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.”

As several other verses were proclaimed, Mr. Bentley tried his best to ignore this loving, public rebuke, but it clearly shook this misguided church to its core. After we were all “escorted out,” the Oprah Winfrey and the documentary film crews interviewed many of the saints who called Mr. Bentley to genuine repentance. We all gave a Biblical and reasonable defense for our actions.

Our two main concerns were for his personal soul and the example this church was setting for the lambs of God being led astray by their declensions. The young people practically worship these men. In fact, we discovered evidence that three missionary couples were leaving the Lord’s work to come home and get divorced, citing Mr. Bentley's sin as the authority for their actions. Without a doubt, this grave error had to be confronted with the love and truth of God’s Word and in Jesus name, it was.

Day Three

The Abortion Mills and Abortionists Neighborhoods

We split our forces into three teams. One team went to Winston Salem to storm the gates of hell at a Planned Parenthood and to expose abortionist, Jimmy Isaac Newton, to his neighborhood. The second team set up at the Latrobe abortion mill and gave-em-heaven. Afterwards, they went to expose abortionist, Ron Vermanie, to his neighborhood. The last team was sent to the Hebron abortion mill. Though blocked by a big fence, men of God climbed a ladder and preached the Word of God to those contemplating the unspeakable against their own children. From there, this team proceeded to “doctor” Flood’s neighborhood and canvassed the area with a flyer exposing his hidden works of darkness. There was one divine appointment at this gate. We met a black pastor who is influential in calling black men back to their family and church responsibilities. He is now aware of who lives in his neighborhood. We also took time to share with him the significance of the abortion/racism connection chronicled by the new DVD, Maafa 21.

The afternoon was spent studying the Gospel of Matthew with its emphasis on the establishment of the Kingdom of Heaven and our responsibility to extend its influence in the earth. Dr. Pat McEwen followed and gave an outstanding presentation called “The Best Way to Protect Yourself from Breast Cancer.”

Day Four

The Church of Jesus Christ

On Sunday morning, the OR/OSA leaders went back to the gate of the Lord’s House. One again, “God went back to Church.” We set up signs and passed out powerful materials at Central Church of God, a large evangelical church with thousands attending. We called the Church’s attention to the fact that there are two abortion mills within a four mile radius of the Church. We reminded God’s people of their duty to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves, rescue those unjustly sentenced to death, and to defend the fatherless.

This is a great Evangelical Church that does many wonderful works to advance the cause of Christ. But as Jesus proclaimed to the religious system of His day, “for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone (Matthew 23:23).”

Nothing, however, could have possibly prepared us for the hardcore, vindictive reaction from this church. Throughout the years, we have done several “God is going back to Church” campaigns. Some were upset but remained civil, while others actually invited us in to address the church and came to the altars acknowledging their failure to be their brother’s keeper and loving their neighbor as themselves. The reply of Central Church of God, however, was off the charts as it relates to our plea for the least of these. In fact, they chose to ignore the veracity of our message by attacking the messengers to the point of arresting fellow Christians.

Contrary to the Word of God, this church had three Christian brothers incarcerated. 1 Corinthians 6:6-7 states:

“But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?”

David Lackey and I were arrested for merely using their parking lot to turn our van around. At first, the police were willing to let us go when they learned what we were actually doing, but when the head security guard recognized me, he demanded the police arrest us.

Previously, this person and I had a short exchange. Though neither David nor I were personally warned not to enter the parking lot, I did hear this man command Pastor Mark Holick to move off the drive way. When Pastor Mark asked, “where do you want me to go?” The head security guard answered, “You can go out in the street for all I care.” When I heard this response, I challenged him, “Did I hear you correctly? Are you saying that you want fellow believers in Christ to go out into the street to be hit by a car?” He emphatically stated, “That is exactly what I mean.” This is from a church who accused us of having a “bad spirit.”

Both David and I had injured shoulders and a paramedic, who was a member of the church, asked the police to handcuff us in the front. Not only did they ignore this request on our behalf, but actually tightened the second handcuffs they used to haul us to jail. God in His mercy gave us the grace to handle the pain. Truly, out of all the arrests that we have personally experienced in the cause of Christ, this was by far the most unexpected. It was so ridiculous and unreasonable that all David and I could do was bow our head and declare, “Lord, Your will be done.” In fact, the paramedic who came to our aid stated, “This is so strange; it has to be the work of God.”

The church had our van towed and impounded – $179.00. Three of us were arrested and are now out of jail with a $200 bond, a $250 bond, and an $800 bond. We had to cancel and reschedule two flights out of Charlotte because of jail time. And we were just informed that we have been BANNED FROM CENTRAL CHURCH OF GOD FOR LIFE! What sin do you know of that would get one banned from church for life?

Don’t tell me, let me guess. The only sin that might get one banned from this church for life is the fact that he is truly for life. If you believe abortion is murder, and act like it, and tell others about it, you may well be banned from this church for life. This must be Central Church of God’s idea of the unpardonable sin – PLEASE!

God’s work and will was certainly fulfilled that day in jail, however. Our ministry simply shifted from the streets and was sent to the prison system. Many of the prisoners had not been to church for a long time, so God sent church to them. We witnessed God’s Word in every cell, prayed for one individual to follow Christ, and one man broke and wept openly before the other prisoners as the Holy Spirit touched his heart.

While David and I were ministering to the prisoners, another Christian brother, Edwin, who also was part of the outreach at the church, was thrown into jail. What was his crime? Before I tell you, keep in mind that this man has been attending this church off and on since he was a small boy.

They arrested him for not walking across the street at the crosswalk. The captain of the jail, who instinctively knew that there was something bizarre about our arrests, actually came into our cell to talk with us. When we asked him about Edwin’s arrest, he stated, “In thirty eight years of serving on the police force, I’ve never seen a ticket for this, let alone an arrest.”

Barring a lawyer helping us pro bono, we are scheduled to appear before the court on March 18th. Our charge is trespass. Please pray that God grants us an advocate and God’s truth will be revealed and His will be done through this trial. Please pray for our families and Brother Edwin and his fiancée, Kristin as well. They were both regular attendees of Central Church of God and both, pardon the pun, have been “banned for life” (their exact words) from their church. No charge and no trial, just never come back here again. Obviously, they are heart broken by the callous response from their church. Brethren, again, please pray for us!

OSA National Leaders Weekend, Feb 4-7, 2010

Twenty-five national leaders were greeted by the wonderful Benham family as they hosted our annual OSA National meeting at David and Jason's business offices in Charlotte, North Carolina. Three of the Benham young moms are pregnant. So three more grand babies are due to arrive this year for Flip and Faye to enjoy! PTL! 

 

Our first night after we arrived (Thursday) Pastor Tony spoke to us about witnessing to Muslims. It was very helpful. He taught us to balance love and truth when we minister to them. Go to www.IslamicFinder.com to find mosques in your area. 

 

Friday Pastor Flip had us break an all time OSA outreach record! We went to six "gates" in one day!

He must have been up all night dreaming of things he wanted the Lord's army to do there.

 

Friday morning we went to two high schools, North West and A.L. Brown. We were blessed to get gospel literature out to the students, staff and parents coming in and out of the school grounds. We also had abortion signs up so people could see the difference between a living baby and one that was killed by abortion. Which baby would you want? Even though the weather was wet and cold, the Lord sustained us and we delivered the mail.

Next, we went to LaTrobe abortion mill to encourage Flip's mom and sister who have been doing a mighty work there five days a week in the past year or more saving hundreds of little boys and little girls from death. We thank God for them! 

  

Our next stop was to Presbyterian Hospital where two local abortionists Flood and Harris have offices. Lots of literature was distributed throughout the area buildings and sidewalks exposing them for killing God's little "image bearers". Some of the men set up the sound system out in front so all of those in the area would know what was going on. 

 

After lunch our next outreach was to a large mosque in the area. A handful of men distributed the literature packs on the sidewalk near the driveway. "alsalem elakem" is a greeting in Aramaic that means "peace be upon you". When asked what you are passing out, you can say iIngeel" which means "the Gospel". Many packets of material were taken by at least 50% of the cars leaving the service. Prayer warriors stayed across the street in a van to watch and pray; interceding for the outreach to be successful. It was the most joyful time of the whole weekend to see how many recipients there were and to watch them reading the materials as they drove off. We know that God's word does not return void. Please pray for their salvation. We want to do this in CT, too.  

 

 

Friday night we drove to South Carolina to visit the grounds where the old PTL was located (formerly run by Jim and Tammy Baker). It is now known as Morning Star Ministries. Todd Bentley came back to the pulpit and was confronted by prophetic scriptures read by men of God from all over the nation. Pastor Flip led off with his scripture right before Todd was going to open his Bible. Flip said "Before you open that book......." and then warned him that God's holy covenant of marriage was being defiled and trampled on. 

 

It is known that Todd Bentley committed adultery. When you are truly repentant you turn from your sin and go the other way. Todd did not do this. He divorced his wife and left his three children to marry the younger prettier woman that he cheated with. Then was reinstated as a ministry leader by Rick Joyner and other overseers that called this "restoration"? Please pray for them. 

 

LAKELAND 

 

This visit was most upsetting. This church was like being in a nightclub/circus environment. Most of us felt really uncomfortable (Revealtion 10:9). There was a stage with fog effects and loud music. People were screaming when we first came in. People were doing different things all over the room. It was total confusion. Some were dancing, some were worshipping, some were eating, drinking, some were painting pictures on an easel. Others that were in front of the sound booth were getting prayed over and blown on and then jirating. There were cafes along the perimeter and different balconies and rooms on different floors but all was open to the middle arena. It was wild. The words to the last song were "Let go of your heart, Let go of your head, Just feel it now."

 

I do believe most of the attendees were truly sincere. But they were sincerely wrong. God's lost sheep were being led astray by a false gospel. It was all about what God can do for me, not what I can do for God. The following photos were taken from the back of the church. The first one is what it looked like with the human eye. The second one was not seen with the human eye but that's the way the photo came out. The whole experience was very strange and I never knew a "church" like this existed.  

 

Two other outside groups were visiting that night. One was a video team from the Oprah Winfrey show and another was a group doing a documentary on so-called "revivals". Some of our people were interviewed by them. If they want to make Christians look bad, which the media usually does, then they would expose the story on Todd Bentley. 

 

Saturday morning different groups went to LaTrobe, Hebron, and Winston-Salem PP. Abortionist Newton was exposed for killing babies at LaTrobe killing center. A group visited Mr Flood's neighborhood of mansions on Lake Norman near the golf course (see photos).

 

 

 

A neighbor was taken back to hear the news. She said her daughter was best friends with Flood's daughter. Her husband piped in from the background saying he was for a woman's right to chose (to kill her baby). Rusty had the opportunity to talk to a pastor that lived there. He was shocked to hear that Flood did this horrible act of ripping little children apart limb by limb for money. Another group went to R.A. Virani's community to let them know a baby killer was their neighbor. So sad. 

 

Saturday afternoon Pastor Flip did some teaching. Tracy, Abby, Destiny and Kristen were among those who so graciously served us with delicious meals! Thank you to all that helped make this event possible. We obviously got very little sleep this past weekend. I am still recuperating! We followed Pastor Flip's instructions to "Sleep fast!" as we only got about four hours sleep per night.

   

Sunday morning we did God is Going Back to Church at "Central Church" in Charlotte. This is an 8,000 member Church of God. The pastor is an awesome pastor. The problem is that they stay in the walls of the church and aren't concerned that little children are being killed a few miles from their building at two different locations. We went there with literature and signs to let the people know where they can go to pray and reach out to those who find themselves where they should not be.

 

We were able to give out literature to cars coming in and going out of the driveways. Most of the police we saw were helpful. The church security staff was NOT nice and had Dave, Rusty and Edwin (a young man from Central Church) arrested. They had to spend most of the day in jail, but God used them to minister there. We took up a collection and raised the bail for them. They have to go to court, so please keep this situation in prayer. 

 

There were two satellite parking lots where we had teams passing out literature. A divine appointment took place here. One of the bus drivers from the huge buses that drive the people to the main building stopped to talk to Ruth. He said he was a Muslim and showed her in his Koran where it shows Muslims are against abortion too. Ruth just happened to have an outreach pack from the mosque in her car and gave it to him. PTL! Please pray for this man too.

 

 

Remember Matthew 28:18 - Jesus came and told His disciples,

" I have been given complete authority in Heaven and on Earth.

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,

baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Teach these new disciples to obey all the commandments I have given you.

And be sure of this:

I am always with you, even to the end of the age."

We were blessed to meet with one of the moms today at DD after sidewalk counseling. Dominique changed her mind a few months ago and is five months pregnant. She showed us ultrasounds and a 4D picture of her baby boy she wants to name Zachary King James. Please pray for the baby's dad too, Lou, he is a fine young man. Pray that he will be discipled by a Christian dad who is going to meet with him tomorrow. PTL!

 

 

We had six pastors speak Friday at the Roe Memorial (Pedro Vazquez, Les Young, Jim Loomer, Bob Hoyt, Ken Trawick & Bob Riscati). We have had much positive and encouraging feedback from attendees on the testimonies and words that were spoken by them and the statesmen. The saints in New Haven were blessed to have Pastor Loomer join them at Planned Parenthood Saturday. It is a living epistle to their congregations when pastors take time out of their busy schedules to come to the streets to save souls and lives for Jesus.

 

Jeff, Pastor Loomer, Carmen and Brenda were at PP late when the moms were leaving after the abortions at 11 AM. It was a very sad sight! They saw a young lady who was brought there by her mom. She could barely walk to her car. She climbed in the back seat, laid down and put her jacket over her head. You could feel her pain just looking at her.

 

Pastor Loomer gave Jeff Christman the opportunity to speak to the congregation about abortion at his church on national Sanctity of Life Sunday. Jeff talked about scripture, statistics, the history of abortion and engaged in questions from the congregation. Now they know that abortion is a gospel issue and its the church's responsibility to bring it to an end.

Our good friend, Pastor Johnny Hunter, who came to visit us a few years back, is very active in getting this release out to as many as possible in the African American community.

PRAISE REPORT on Brenda's Case!

 

We were supposed to start picking a jury for Brenda's trial. The state asked for a continuance to talk to Planned Parenthood. The prosecutor called our attorney and said that the state could not prove its case. The prosecutor asked to nolle the case which would have kept the case open with the charges pending for thirteen months. We, of course, objected and requested dismissal with no attachments. The state did not object, so the agreement was made in the chambers with the judge and later in the open court. We thank God for hearing our prayers, justice and truth did prevail!

 

OSA-CT Outreach at Homeless Shelter

Saturday night, Brenda, Tom, Nancy, Daniel, Kelly and Cara went to the Bridgeport shelter and fed 25+ adults and kids, not including our group. Five or six women came to the Bible study that Tom does after the dinner. Tom taught about God's promises. After the bible study some of the women asked Nancy and Brenda for prayer. Bibles and Mark Cahill books were given out. We do this outreach every other Saturday night. Brenda needs help with the food. We appreciate the Bridgeport police who sent two mounted police for the memorial .

 

We had a pretty good day on Friday, 1/22/10 considering its usually the coldest day of the year! We thank God for all He did as we remembered the over 50 million innocent baby girls and baby boys killed by surgical abortion. Pastor Brad Trawick (Promiseland Church of God) let us in worship. Pastor Hector Muniz (Lighthouse Fellowship Church) was our master of ceremonies. Luz de Pas Funeral Home was kind enough to let us use their hearse for the third year in a row. Daniel led the procession playing Amazing Grace on his recorder. Kelly Vazquez, Colbi Rowland, Paul Goodall and Justin Philips were pall bearers. We had six pastors speak from cities all over Connecticut. We also had had our attorney, Michael DePrimo, speak. Four politicians, or should I say statesmen, spoke too (Tom Scott, TR Rowe, David Pia, Rick Torres). There were over 60 pro-lifers in attendance. The mini-speeches were all awesome and last but not least: when Carmen and I spoke, one of the young ladies that changed her mind last Saturday at Planned Parenthood in New Haven had a few moving words to say.

 

he people were given carnations to place on the casket before they left as we said goodbye to all the precious babies that lost their lives because of abortion. We know they are with Jesus and hope they know we loved them and tried to save their lives. Someday we will be together with them in Heaven. We thank God for the opportunity to co-labor with Him for the past 20 years and are blessed to know that 1,987 babies have been saved and 375 people have made a confession of faith to make Jesus their Lord and Savior! PTL!
